TOLEDO, Ohio - The Duquesne women's tennis team wrapped up the Fall season at the Rocket Invitational on the campus of the University of Toledo this past weekend. In addition to the Dukes, Detroit, Bowling Green and host Toledo also participated in the two-day event.

The Dukes played six singles matches against each team, divided into three A Flight matches and three B Flight matches. In doubles, Duquesne played three matches against each team.

Megan O'Sullivan (A Singles) won all three of her matches, dropping only in set the entire weekend. She defeated Pia Rygh of Toledo 6-3, 2-6, 10-8 and followed with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Mary Hill from Bowling Green and finished by defeating Julia Fernandes from Detroit 6-0, 6-1.

Judy Li (A Singles) was a 3-6, 6-4, 10-7 winner over Lexy Pitt of Toledo. Alexa Miller (B Singles) defeated Mackenzie Bowman of Toledo 6-2, 6-3. Sarah Shashura (B Singles) was a 6-4, 4-6, 10-4 winner over BGSU's Katie Grubb. Paula Gruber (B Singles) defeated Detroit's Chloe Karoub 6-2, 6-3.

In doubles, the team of O'Sullivan and Shashura were 8-1 winners over Detroit's Elena Strakhova/Valeryia Kulikouskay .

This was the final event of the Fall season. The spring season begins in January.
