HARMAR, Pa. - The Duquesne women's tennis team opened its 2012 Spring season with a 5-2 loss to Bowling Green on Saturday afternoon.

The Dukes (0-1) got wins from Vanessa Steiner at #2 singles and Chandler Consonery at #5 singles.

The team of Tara Majdalani and Paula Gruber won at #3 doubles.

Bowling Green was coming off a 15-win season that featured a berth in the MAC semifinals last season.

The Dukes, who open up with four straight matches, host Morehead State on Sunday afternoon. Match time is slated for 1:30 p.m.
