KENT, Ohio - The Duquesne women's track and field team returned to action this weekend at the Doug Raymond Invite hosted by Kent State University.
Shelby Haitz finished first in the 800m with an outdoor career-best time of 2:16.28. Her previous best was 2:17.38 in 2011.
Amber Valimont was second in the 3000m with a time of 9:51.92 followed by Meg Ecker in fourth place in 10:20.04, Danica Snyder in sixth and Jenna Gigliotti in seventh with times of 10:32.19 and 10:32.31 respectively.
Tacquaya Tobias, coming off being named the A-10 Rookie of the Week was second in the long jump (17-9.75), fourth in the 60m (7.83) and 13th in the 200m (26.08)
Next up is the first of three trips to Lewisburg, Pa. The Dukes will participate in the Gulden Invitational on Jan. 21st hosted by Bucknell University,
