Duquesne's lacrosse team fought back from a 10-3 halftime deficit to send the contest into overtime tied at 13-13. However, after exchanging a pair of overtime goals, the Owls found the net just 13 seconds into the second "sudden victory" overtime period to capture a 16-15 victory.
Casey Denk, Caitlin Prince and Katie Rekart scored the lone first half goals before Rekart (5), Haley Marafioti (3) and Meredith Dunn (3) combined to score 11 of the final 12 DU goals.
The Dukes return to action on Sunday, April 17 as they host La Salle at 1:00 pm on Rooney Field.
