Duquesne's lacrosse team dropped its Atlantic 10 opener with a 10-9 loss at Richmond Friday evening.

The Dukes trailed, 7-3 at the half and 8-3 less than a minute into the second period, before mounting a come-back that featured six of the seven next goals to tie the game with 9:17 left, before the Spiders tallied the game-winner with 8:05 remaining.

Katie Rekart, Haley Marafioti and Meredith Dunn each scored two goals while Cailin Colegrove, Elise Caldwell and Casey Denk each added one.

Liz Walker made six saves in goal, scooped up a game-high nine ground balls and forced three caused turnovers.

The Dukes return to action on Sunday, April 3 as they travel to George Washington for a 1:00 pm contest.
