Women's Tennis Splits Matches

Xavier Results | Dayton Results

The Duquesne women's tennis team split a pair of matches this past weekend - falling to Xavier 5-2 on Friday before defeating Dayton 6-1 on Saturday.

Alrissa Tobe finished the weekend a perfect 3-0. Tobe won both her singles matches at #5 singles - 6-2, 6-3 over Kally Alkire of Xavier and over Erin Filbrant of Dayton 6-2, 6-2. She also won her first doubles match of the spring season along side Madeline Bittner at #3 double over the Flyers' Claire McNulty and Kelly O'Connell 8-6.

Tara Majdalani went 2-0 at the #6 singles spot. She was a 6-1, 6-1 winner over Xavier's Allyson Westling and a 7-5, 6-1 winner over Dayton's McNulty.

The team of Megan O'Sullivan and Samantha Noble won both of their matches at the #1 doubles spot - 8-5 over Tifanie Treece and Kelsey Kinnard of Xavier and 8-5 over Dreyer and Maureen Stevens of Dayton.

The Dukes (7-8, 2-2 A-10) finish its conference schedule on Friday when they host Temple. Match time at the Alpha Tennis Center is 5:00 p.m.
