Box Score

Duquesne's lacrosse team won its fourth straight contest on Tuesday with a 15-9 victory at Bucknell. Freshman Caitlin Prince led the Dukes with six goals while adding three draw controls and a ground ball.

The Red and Blue jumped to a 5-0 lead less than nine minutes into the contest as four different Dukes found the back of the net. Prince scored her fourth goal of the game with seven seconds remaining in the half to give DU a 10-3 halftime advantage.

The Dukes tallied the first two goals of the second frame to go up 12-3 and coasted to the final score.

Katie Rekart scored a hat trick for the Dukes while Haley Marafioti added two goals and two assists. Also scoring were Elise Caldwell, Casey Denk, Meredith Dunn and Rebekah Simpendorfer.

Defensively, Denk had three caused turnovers and two ground balls while Liz Walker made a season-high 12 saves and had four ground balls.

The Dukes return to action on Thursday, March 24 as they host Cincinnati at 3:00 p.m. on Rooney Field.
