Duquesne's lacrosse team dropped a tough-fought decision with #10 Notre Dame, 12-10 Sunday afternoon on Rooney Field.

Notre Dame scored the first goal just 13 seconds into the contest, but the Red and Blue went on to tallyfive of the next six goals and held a 7-4 advantage at the half.

The Fighting Irish however, responded early in the second half by scoring five of the first six goals and took a 10-9 lead with 10:09 left which they would not again relinquish.

Katie Rekart scored three goals for the Red and Blue while Caitlin Prince found the net twice and assisted on another goal. Keeper Liz Walker made seven saves in the contest.

The Dukes return to action on Saturday, March 4 as they host UMBC at 1:00 pm on Rooney Field.
