NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - After winning gold medals in the 500m and shot put respectively, Taylor Glenn and Ashley Adams were named to the 2011 Atlantic 10 Women's Indoor Track & Field First-Team All-Conference.

Glenn, who finished seventh in the 500m preliminary race, shaved almost two seconds off her time in the finals to earn gold - her first-ever conference medal. She finished in 1:15.19.

Adams picked up her second career medal after she won gold in the shot put with a throw of 49-00.75. Adams also won gold in the discus at the 2010 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championship.

The 4x400 team of Nicole Cherok, Kristin Wenthen, Shannon Abraham and Glenn named Second-Team All-Conference. The team won silver after running a 3:51.74.

The outdoor season begins Mar. 25 at the Richmond Fred Hardy Invitational in Richmond, Va.
