Final Stats
OLEAN, N.Y. - The Duquesne women's tennis team opened up its Atlantic 10 Conference slate with a 7-0 victory over St. Bonaventure on Friday night.
The Dukes (2-3, 1-0 A-10) dropped only two sets in the shutout.
After falling 6-4 in the first set Megan O'Sullivan took the second and third sets 6-1, 6-2 at the #1 singles position. Samantha Noble did the same, losing the first set 6-4 before taking the second and third sets 6-1, 6-1 at #2 singles.
Judy Li swept #3 singles 6-4, 6-1, Tara Majdalani was a straight set winner at #4 singles 6-1, 6-2, Alexandra Assaf was a 6-4, 6-2 winner at #5 singles and Madeline Bittner won at #6 singles 6-1, 6-2.
Duquesne won all three doubles matches - Noble and O'Sullivan 8-1 at the #1 spot, Li and Bittner 8-5 at #2 and Majdalani and Assaf at #3 by a score of 8-2.
DU returns to its home court, the Club Sports and Life, on Wednesday Feb. 16th for a match against Youngstown State.
