Box Score

CHARLOTTE - For the third straight match, Duquesne and Charlotte went the distance. But, it was the 49ers that got the better of the Dukes on Friday night 3-2. The set scores were 25-20, 25-18, 23-25, 12-25, 15-11.

Taylor Jones (match-best 49 assists, 10 digs) and Allison Foschia (12 kills, 17 digs) recorded double-doubles for the Dukes who fell to 17-9 overall and 7-5 in the Atlantic 10 Conference.

Sara Scheirman had a team-best 16 kills and Liz Homan added 15 while hitting .324. Nicole Wright and Patti Abshire recorded 18 and 17 digs respectively.

The Dukes, in the midst of a five-match road trip, play George Washington Saturday at 7:00 p.m. before Tuesday night's match against Pitt at the Fitzgerald Fieldhouse.
