NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - After helping the Duquesne women's track and field team to a first place finish at the 2011 Bucknell Heptathlon, Haley Pisarcik was named Atlantic 10 Women's Track and Field Rookie of the Week.
In the 1000m, Pisarcik placed first in a field of 10 with a time of 2:57.04 earning 10 points. She also was on the first place 4x800 team that finished in 9:23.12 and also earned 10 points.
Up next for Duquesne is the LEC/GaREAT Track and Field Open in Geneva, Ohio on Jan. 28. The Dukes will also participate in the Penn State National Open Jan. 28 and 29th.
