Lacrosse Falls to Atlantic 10 Rival Saint Bonaventure 18-14

Pittsburgh, Pa. - The Duquesne lacrosse team falls to Atlantic 10 rival Saint Bonaventure 18-14.

The Dukes started off strong with a 4-2 lead in the first five minutes of the contest.

Casey Dank and Cailin Colegrove scored two goals in less than two minutes to put the Dukes up 6-2.

The Bonnies fought back and went on a 7-0 run against the Dukes to go up 9-6 at the half.

The Dukes continued to fight back to try to regain the lead with 3 goals from Katie Rekart early in the second half, one of which was assisted by Meghan Frederick.

Saint Bonaventure's Molly Hastrich helped keep the lead over the Dukes with two goals in three minutes of play. Hastrich's goals secured the Bonnies lead at 13-10.

Once again Rekart and Frederick delivered for the Dukes with a combined three goals in three minutes of action. Their play brought the Dukes back within one at 14-13.

The Bonnies answered again with yet another goal by Hastrich for a score of 15-13.

The Dukes last goal was scored by Cailin Colegrove with 10:34 remaining in the contest.

The Bonnies went on to score three more goals to end the contest with an 18-14 victory over the Dukes.

The Dukes will play Saturday, April 3 at 1:00 at Rooney Field versus cross-town rival Robert Morris.
