MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Ohio State's Alayna Markwordt had five goals and two assists to lead #18 Ohio State over the Duquesne lacrosse team 16-6 on Friday afternoon at Joe Walton Field on the campus of Robert Morris.

The loss drops the Dukes to 0-4 on the season.

DU fell behind 4-0 before Megan Frederick's goal at 21:05 of the first half. The Dukes trailed 8-1 when Riley Schamburg scored her first career goal.

Lauren Johnson closed out the first half scoring with 54 seconds left to make the score 10-3 in favor of OSU.

The Dukes added goals from Kat McNish, Laura Aeschbacher and Katie Rekart.

Ohio State held a 32-19 advantage in shots and a 20-10 margin in groundballs.

Next up for DU is Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon. The Dukes and Bearcats faceoff at 1:00 p.m.
