Western PA Championship / Raleigh Relays

Duquesne's men's outdoor track & field team opeened the 2008 season this weekend competing as a split squad in two separate events. A handful of distance runners competed in the prestigious two-day Raleigh Relays while the remainder of the team took part in the Western Pennsylvania Championships at Carnegie Mellon.

Senior Tom Slosky took first place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in Raleigh with an NCAA Regional qualifying time of 8:51.57.
