PITTSBURGH - Duquesne sophomore linebacker Nathan Totino (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seton-La Salle) was named first team All-Northeast Conference in a vote of league coaches released today. In addition, junior tight end Sean Bunevich (North Ridgeville, Ohio/North Ridgeville) was named to the league's second team.
Totino led the 3-7 Dukes with 110 tackles despite missing the final game of the season with a knee injury. His 12.22 tackles per game average ranked fifth nationally.
Bunevich, who was sidelined for the final three games of the season - also with a knee injury - ranked second among NEC tight ends with 25 catches for 454 yards (18.2 ypc.) and two touchdowns.
Duquesne finished its inaugural NEC season with a 2-5 record in conference play.
