Justin Gunter Leads Dukes at Fred Hardy Invitational

Richmond, Va. - Duquesne University's men's track and field team opened the 2007 outdoor season at this weekend's University of Richmond Fred Hardy Invitational. Junior Justin Gunter (Pittsburgh, PA / Baldwin) paced the Dukes with a third place finish in the 400 meter hurdles.

Gunter's time of 55.47 tied his career best and was just 1/5 of a second behind second place Kyle Miller of VCU.

The Dukes next head to Indiana, Pa. for the Western Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Championships on Saturday, March 31, 2007. Indiana University of Pa. (IUP) is the host. The day's competition starts at 9:30 a.m. with the men's and women's 10,000 meter races.

Last season, Duquesne's men's and women's teams each finished second in the 16-school event that was held at Carnegie-Mellon University.
