Philadelphia, Pa. - Duquesne University's men's soccer team was edged, 1-0, by the host Penn Quakers in the final game of the Penn Soccer Classic Sunday at Rhodes Field.
The Quakers made good work of thir only shot on goal as Alex Grendi bent his free kick around the wall of defenders and beat DU goalkeeper Zach Varga on the right side at the 14:07 mark of the first half.
The Dukes (3-3-1) return to action next week when they travel to western New York for a Friday match with Buffalo at 7:-00 p.m. followed by a 1:00 p.m. contest at Niagara on Sunday, September 24, 2006.
