Results

Duquesne's women's track and field team was led by senior Melissa Stewart, who won three events, at Tuesday's Carnegie-Mellon Invitational at Gesling Stadium. Sophomore Allison McCartney won the pole vault, tying the Gesling record in the process.

The Dukes won eight of the 12 events in which they competed. Stewart, who holds the CMU stadium record in the high jump and discuss throw, won those events as well as the hammer throw.

Sophomore Erica Moody in the 200 meters, classmate Ashley Smith in the 400 meter hurdles and Duquesne's 4 x 100 meter relay team each finished first in their track events. The other field victory was taken in the high jump by senior Kristen Micsky; Micksy also holds the Gesling record in this event.

Members of Coach Bryan Delsite's team are headed to two events this weekend: the University of Virginia Lou Onesty / Milton Abramson Invitational in Charlottesville, Va. and to Lewisburg, Pa. for Bucknell's Bison Outdoor Classic and Distance Carnival.
