Bowling Green Tops Dukes, 6-1, in Fla.

Orlando, Fla. - Duquesne University's women's tennis team dropped the second 6-1 match of their Florida Spring Trip to Bowling Green (10-4), Tuesday in Orlando. Junior Alicia McNamara (Voorhees, N.J. / Pendleton School) took her singles match and the duo of junior Jackie Hughes (McKeesport, Pa. / McKeesport) and freshman Rebecca Poole (Swindon, Wiltshire, UK / New College) won at doubles.

James Madison had won via an identical 6-1 score over the Dukes on Monday.

McNamara defeated the Falcons' Stefanie Menoff at number 6 singles while Hughes and Poole edged Heidi Romer and Jenna Nussbaum, 9-8, at no. 1 doubles.

Duquesne (3-4) takes Wednesday off before closing this three-game span in warmer climes with a Sunshine State team. Bethune-Cookman hosts the Red and Blue on Thursday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m. in Daytonna Beach, Fla.
