Duquesne sophomore runner Tom Slosky took first place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase Saturday at the Raleigh Relays. His school-record setting time of 9:02.03 was good enough to qualify him for the NCAA East Regional meet as well as the IC4A Championships.

Senior Gary Malinko also qualified for the IC4A meet in the 1,500 meter run for the third straight year, finishing sixth in 3:51.11.

The Dukes will participate in the Western PA Intercollegiate meet on Saturday, April 1 at Carneige Mellon University.
