Sept. 12, 2005 Duquesne University senior defensive end Antoine Bullock (Houston, Texas/Sugar Land Kempner) was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Football League Defensive Player the Week and freshman quarterback Scott Knapp (Pittsburgh, Pa./Perry Traditional Academy) was named league Rookie of the Week for the second time in as many weeks following Duquesne's 30-13 win over Fordham on Saturday.
The 6-1, 220 Bullock recorded a career-high 11 tackles including 2.0 sacks and a tackle for loss in the victory. He also forced a second-quarter fumble at the Fordham four-yard line to set up Duquesne's go-ahead touchdown. In the process, Bullock took over the fourth spot on DU's all-time sacks list with 17.5.
Knapp, who enters this week ranked ninth nationally in NCAA Division I-AA total offense (312 yards per game), completed 12-of-23 passes for 265 and two touchdowns in the Dukes' impressive win. The Pittsburgh native completed five passes of 20 yards or more against the Rams including a 65-yard scoring strike to Bruce Hocker and a 66-yard TD pass to Conrad Carter.
Knapp, who has completed 35-of-65 passes (53.8%) for 630 yards and three touchdowns in his first two career starts, has boosted his efficiency rating to 147.42 - good for 18th in Division I-AA.

DUKES REMAIN NO. 2 IN SPORTS NETWORK TOP 10
Duquesne, a 30-13 winner over Fordham on Saturday, stayed at No. 2 in the Sports Network I-AA Mid-Major Top 10 released today. The Dukes, which received eight first place votes and 227 total points, are ranked just behind No. 1 Dayton, a 41-23 winner over Division III Wittenberg last weekend. Dayton's 234 point total includes 14 first-place votes.
Duquesne (2-0) begins a stretch of three consecutive road games at Penn (0-0) on Saturday. This will be the season-opener for Penn, which was picked to win the Ivy by the league's coaches.
Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
