The Duquesne women's tennis team is the eighth seed at the 2005 Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Championship which begins Friday at 8:00 am at the Tennis Center at College Park (MD). The Dukes will open play facing Saint Joseph's at 8:00 am. The winner advances to take on top seeded Massachusetts at 1:00 pm while the loser will take on the George Washington / La Salle winner Saturday at 8:00 am in the ninth-place bracket.

The Dukes enter the championship with a 4-9 Spring record, which includes a 1-4 showing vs. Atlantic 10 teams. Duquesne defeated St. Bonaventure and suffered falls to Xavier, George Washington and Dayton.
