Kristen Micsky Wins Triple Jump At Akron

Akron, Ohio - Senior Kristen Micsky won the triple jump with a leap of 11.44 meters (37 feet, 6.5 inches) at the University of Akron's Skip Summerville Invitational Friday night in UA's Athletics Field House as Duquesne's women's indoor track and field team kicked off its 2005 competition.

The Dukes put together a score of 74.50 to take fourth place in the one-day event.

Junior Kerri Durica took third in the triple jump with a mark of 10.85 meters (35' 7.25"). Classmate Elizabeth Graham's time of 5:06.93 was good for third place in the mile run, just 24 seconds shy of Akron's Rachel Zubricky's second place finish.

Duquesne returns to action next Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, in the Bucknell Octagonal in Lewisburg, Pa.
