Duquesne swept MAAC Player of the Week awards this week with senior quarterback Niel Loebig (McDonald, Pa./South Fayette) named Offensive Player, senior cornerback Armar Watson (Forrestville, Md./Suitland) named Defensive Player and freshman receiver Bruce Hocker (Upper Marlboro, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) named Rookie of the Week for their performances in DU's 31-7 win at Holy Cross on Saturday. Loebig and Watson were also named the Offensive and Defensive Div. I-AA Players of the Week by the National Football Gazette. Loebig completed 21-of-40 passes for 348 yards and four TDs (20, 30, 41 & 4) on the afternoon. Watson picked off two passes, caused a fumble and recovered two fumbles to lead a DU defense that forced six Holy Cross miscues (4 INTs and 2 fumbles). Hocker caught two passes for 60 yards, including a 30-yard TD on a fourth-and-nine play in his first catch as a Duke.
