Sarah Shanahan Named A-10 All-Academic

Junior Sarah Shanahan (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Watterson) has been named to the six-member Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Academic All-Conference team as announced today by the league office. Voting is conducted among the Conference's sports information directors.

Shanahan boasts a 3.60 GPA in occupational therapy and earns her first Academic All-Conference accolade. She went 3-3 at the Atlantic 10 championships (1-2 in singles, 2-1 doubles) en route to a sixth-place team finish. On the year, Shanahan posted an overall record of 25-17. She was 17-16 during the spring championship season posting a 10-6 mark in singles and 7-10 showing in doubles. Shanahan went 6-3 at No. 5, 3-3 at No. 6 and 1-0 at No. 4 singles and was 4-5 at No. 1 doubles, 1-3 at No. 2 and 2-2 at No. 3 doubles this past spring. She stands second on the team in wins. On the year, Shanahan was 16-7 in singles and 9-10 in doubles.

She is a member of the Dean's List, Director of Athletics' and A-10 Commissioner's Honor Rolls and is active in Crossroads Christian Fellowship.
