Duquesne University wide receiver Yardon Brantley has accepted an invitation to attend the Philadelphia Eagles post-draft mini-camp this weekend.
Brantley, who finished his career with 152 catches for 2,550 yards and 22 touchdowns, will report to the Eagles NovaCare Complex in Philadelphia on Thursday.
The Reading, Pa. native (Reading Central Catholic) was one of four captains of DU's 2003 I-AA Mid-Major National Champion team. He helped lead the Dukes to a 37-8 record and four consecutive Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Football League titles in his four-year career. Brantley, the MAAC Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2000, was named to the MAAC offensive first team this past season.
Brantley will be attempting to join former teammates Leigh Bodden (Cleveland Browns) and Josh Rue (Arizona Cardinals) who both took the free agent route to NFL rosters last season.
