Pittsburgh, Pa. - Duquesne University's women's tennis team returned to action with a 4-3 win over Toledo Friday afternoon at the Oxford Athletic Club in Monroeville, Pa. The Dukes remain undefeated at 5-0 this season while the Rockers fell to 2-3.
Junior Sarah Shanahan and freshmen Jackie Hughes and Alicia McNamara took straight set singles matches while senior Katie Riedinger's opponent had to default as a result of an injury.
The Dukes next host another Mid-American Conference team when Buffalo comes to Western Pennsylvania for a Sunday, Feb. 15 match starting at 9 a.m. at the Oxford Club.
