PITTSBURGH, Pa. (AP) - Niel Loebig threw four touchdown passes to lead Duquesne to a 49-0 victory over Butler on Saturday.
Loebig completed 18 of 31 passes for 291 yards. He connected with Michel Warfield on touchdown passes of 19 and 30 yards, and with Yardon Brantley on scoring strikes of 36 and 20 yards. Both Warfield and Brantley each caught five passes.
Duquesne (1-1), ranked No. 2 among NCAA Division I-AA Mid-Major schools by The Sports Network, also scored on a 35-yard run by Mike Hilliard, a 9-yard pass from Ben Palumbo to Tim Broderick, and a 2-yard run by Jeremy McCullough.
Butler (0-2) had only 215 yards in total offense and turned the ball over four times.
