Earlier this month, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced those student-athletes who had been honored for their achievements both academically and athletically in the MAAC's 2002-03 New York Lottery Academic Honor Roll. Duquesne University is an associate member of this conference for the sport of football.
Ten Dukes were included in the MAAC's honor roll, tying La Salle for the most honors among the conference's associate members.
To be eligible for the New York Lottery MAAC Academic Honor Roll, an athlete must hold a grade point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale following the end of this past spring semester and be in his or her second year of athletic eligibility. The Honor Roll is open to both full-time and associate members of the MAAC with athletes represented in all 25 sports that the conference sponsors.
