Duquesne's Melissa Stewart (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) has been named the Atlantic 10 Track & Field Co-Rookie of the Week as announced by the league office.

Stewart improved upon her own Duquesne school record in the discus with an ECAC-qualifying and first-place distance of 143' 0.00" this past Saturday at the Baldwin Wallace Invitational. Stewart's throw ranks second this season among Atlantic 10 performers.

Duquesne next heads to the 2003 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track & Field Championships this coming weekend hosted by the University of Richmond May 3-4.
