- Last Time Out: Duquesne was edged 13-11 by Youngstown State on Wednesday in its non-conference finale at Rooney Field. The Dukes led 10-7 entering the fourth quarter before the Penguins scored six of the final seven goals. Gracin Emerson posted three goals and three assists for her first hat trick of the season. Chelsea Evans and Chloe Holmes added two goals apiece, while Emma Raines, Ali Evans, Mia Piocquidio and Megan Marco also scored as seven Dukes found the net.
- National Leaders: Junior Gracin Emerson and senior Emma Raines continue to rank among the nation's leaders. Emerson leads Division I in assists per game (4.58), while Raines ranks No. 1 nationally in shot percentage (68.2%).
- Welcome to the 100-Point Club: Gracin Emerson recorded her 100th career point last game, finishing with a six-point effort (three goals, three assists). She now has 22 career goals and 82 assists for 104 points. In game nine earlier this season, Emerson set the Duquesne single-season assist record and now has 55 assists on the year, second-most in Division I. The junior from East Lansing, Michigan, leads all NCAA divisions in assists per game (4.58), putting her within reach of the Division I single-season record of 4.63 (Ashley Humphrey, Stanford, 2022). With 15 assists over the final three games, Emerson would set a new NCAA mark. Emerson has tied the program's single-game assist record (seven) twice this season and is one of only three Division I players with multiple seven-assist performances. She has posted six or more assists in four games and ranks 11th nationally with 64 points (5.33 per game).
- Raining Goals: Emma Raines leads the Dukes with 30 goals, averaging 2.50 per game to rank eighth in the Atlantic 10. She has a team-high seven hat tricks this season, including a career-best five goals at Mercyhurst, and leads Division I with a .682 shot percentage (30 goals on 44 shots).
- Win The Draw: Freshman Madison Welch ranks second in the Atlantic 10 in draw controls per game (6.33). She has set the Duquesne single-game record twice this season with 14 at Mercyhurst and 15 against George Mason, earning Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors. With 12 draw controls last game, Welch has 76 on the season, the third-best single-season total in program history. The program record is 117 by Maddie Hart (2019), with Hart also holding the No. 2 mark (80 in 2018).
- Statistically Speaking: Duquesne ranks seventh nationally in shot percentage (.498) and eighth in free-position percentage (.564). The Dukes have scored 130 goals on 261 shots and are 22-for-39 from the free-position arc.
- Program Records This Season: Emerson has tied the single-game assist record twice (7 vs. Mount St. Mary's, at Mercyhurst) and owns the single-season assist record (55 and counting), while Welch has set the single-game draw control record twice (14 at Mercyhurst, 15 vs. George Mason).
- Defensive Dukes: Three Dukes rank among the top six in the Atlantic 10 in caused turnovers per game. Casey McBride is fourth at 1.92 per game, while Chelsea Evans (1.83) and Addison Scanlon (1.50) rank fifth and sixth. Scanlon is also third in the league in ground balls per game (2.50), followed by Evans in seventh (2.17). Freshman goalkeeper Ella Roach ranks among the top 20 nationally and is second in the A-10 with 8.83 saves per game.

- La Salle enters at 3-11 and is also seeking its first Atlantic 10 win at 0-6 in league play. The Explorers last victory came Feb. 21 against Central Connecticut State (21-6). They opened the season 3-2 before dropping nine straight.
- La Salle averages 8.5 goals per game while allowing 13.9. Senior attack Emi Waldron leads the offense with 35 goals and 10 assists, ranking fifth in the Atlantic 10 in goals. Goalkeeper Mary Babbage leads the conference and ranks 11th nationally at 9.21 saves per game. Kirkland Lewis is in her first season as head coach.

Notes: Duquesne has won six of the last seven meetings, including each of the last four at Rooney Field. Last season, the Dukes earned a 14-10 road win after a 5-0 fourth quarter. La Salle rallied from an 8-1 deficit to take the lead entering the fourth before Duquesne closed strong. In the 2024 meeting at Rooney Field, the Dukes held on for a 12-11 win after leading by as many as five.
30TH SEASON OF DUKES LACROSSE
Duquesne lacrosse is celebrating its 30th season as a varsity program on the Bluff in 2026. The Dukes, who began play in 1997, own an all-time record of 240-242 and have made 15 Atlantic 10 Championship appearances, highlighted by two regular-season co-championships.
