Atlantic 10 Reveals Conference Matchups

Dukes to open A-10 schedule at Davidson

Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Atlantic 10 conference announced its 2026 women's basketball conference schedule Friday, completing the 2025-26 slate for the Duquesne University women's basketball team.

The Dukes will tip off their Atlantic 10 slate on the road at Davidson on Wednesday, Dec. 3. Duquesne holds a 14-27 record in A-10 openers and will be seeking its first conference-opening road win since Jan. 5, 2019, when the Dukes defeated St. Bonaventure, 60-54.

Duquesne returns to UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse for its first home conference contest on Wednesday, Dec. 31, when it hosts Saint Louis. The matchup against the Billikens begins a stretch of five games where the site will flip between a road and home game. Following the Saint Louis game, Duquesne travels to Dayton (Jan. 3) before returning to Pittsburgh to host St. Bonaventure on Wednesday, Jan. 7.

A trip to Richmond, Va., is on tap for the Dukes when they visit VCU on Jan. 11 before retuning to UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse to host George Washington on Jan. 14. Duquesne will also visit Rhode Island (Jan. 18) and Richmond (Jan. 28) during the month of January, while hosting back-to-back home games against Dayton (Jan. 21) and Saint Joseph's (Jan. 24). The Dukes close out the month with a home matchup against La Salle on Saturday, Jan. 31.

Following a bye week to open February, the Dukes hit the road for matchups at St. Bonaventure (Feb. 7), Fordham (Feb. 14), Saint Joseph's (Feb. 18), and Saint Louis (Feb. 25). Duquesne will also host Loyola Chicago (Feb. 11), VCU (Feb. 21), and George Mason (Feb. 28) in its regular-season finale

Celebrating its 50th season, the 2026 Atlantic 10 Championship is scheduled for March 4–8 at the Henrico Sports & Events Center in Henrico, Va. This marks the third consecutive year the tournament will be held at the venue, which first tipped off the event in 2024.

The Dukes will tip off their 42nd season of NCAA Division I basketball and their 13th season under head coach Dan Burt on Monday, Nov. 3, when they host Saint Francis at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse. The game against the Red Flash is one of five home games that highlight the non-conference portion of the schedule for Duquesne.

Duquesne returns eight letterwinners from the 2024-25 squad that posted a 21-13 overall record (.618), including a 9-9 mark (.500) in Atlantic 10 play. Among the returners are five sophomores and three juniors, including standout sophomore guards Mackenzie Blackford, Nadia Moore, and Faith Walker. Blackford played in 33 games with two starts, averaging 8.2 points per game while shooting 42.5 percent from the field. She made 70 three-pointers, the second-most on the team and fifth in the A-10, while ranking second in the conference in three-point field goal percentage at 38.7 percent. Moore contributed 5.0 points and 2.3 rebounds per game across 31 appearances (eight starts), shooting 35.6 percent from beyond the arc. Walker also played in 33 games with three starts, emerging as the Dukes' primary defender at the top of the press and frequently taking on the assignment of guarding the opponent's top scorer.
