FAIRFAX, Va. — Duquesne women's track and field placed seventh at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships with 66 points. Senior
Halle Walcutt won gold in the heptathlon as the Dukes earned two silvers and two bronzes on Sunday, bringing their total to six medals.

DAY 1 RECAP
Walcutt set a new program record with her score of 5,266, surpassing her previous mark of 5,253 set earlier this season at Bucknell. She finished first in the 200 meters, 800 meters, and long jump, while also setting personal records in the high jump (1.58m / 5-2.25), long jump (5.74m / 18-10), and javelin (36.56m / 119-11).
Walcutt is now a two-time medalist in the heptathlon, having won silver at the 2024 A-10 Championships.
MEDALISTS
Duquesne brought home two silvers and two bronzes on Sunday to join Walcutt's gold.
Madelyn Moretti earned the silver medal in the shot put with a throw of 14.76 meters (48-5.25), marking a second-place finish after winning gold and being named Co-Most Outstanding Field Performer at the 2024 A-10 Championships.
Mia Pierce won the silver medal in the discus. Pierce recorded a mark of 46.30 meters (151-11) to win her first A-10 Championships medal.
Freshman
Rose Kuchera claimed her second bronze medal of the A-10 Championships with her 12.26-meter (40-2.75) distance in the triple jump. Kuchera also took the bronze medal in the long jump
on Saturday.
Caroline Garbe brought home the bronze medal in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.65 meters (5-5). Garbe's bronze makes her the second Duke to medal in the high jump in as many years, following
Sadie Wetzel who earned silver in 2024.
NOTABLE FINISHES
Anna Rorrer and
Eva Leatherman shook up Duquesne's record book in the 400-meter hurdles, recording the fourth and fifth-best times respectively. Rorrer finished in fourth place with a time of 1:00.79, and Leatherman finished in sixth with a time of 1:00.90. Both scored for Duquesne.
Both Rorrer and Leatherman were members of Duquesne's 4x400-meter relay team with
Amy Allen and Walcutt. The team finished in fifth with a time of 3:47.91.
Rorrer also scored points in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing in 14.18 seconds, good for fifth place.
Seniors
Amy Allen and
Mara Whalen each scored points individually. Allen finished seventh in the 400 meters with her time of 56.04 seconds. Whalen finished the 1,500 meters in 4:30.59, good for eighth place.
Gina Bolla set a personal best (36:50.16) in 11th place out of 25 in the 10,000-meter run.
UP NEXT
Qualifying Dukes will compete in the IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships, scheduled for May 16-18 back in Fairfax, Va.
