Orlando, Fla. – The No. 6 seeded Duquesne women's tennis team opened play at the Atlantic 10 Championships on Thursday afternoon, capturing a 4-0 win over the No. 11 seed George Mason at the USTA National Campus. With the win, the Dukes improved to 11-7 overall this season and advance to quarterfinals for the first time since the 2020-21 campaign.

Alexandra O'Brien secured a 6-4 win over Shivaani Ganesh and Brooklyn Siegel before junior
Taisia Yakunina and freshman
Sofia Lopez-Linares Perez downed Maya Bayat and Avleen Waraich to secure the point for the Dukes.
In singles competition, the Dukes continued with its momentum, winning three straight matches to earn the victory. At the five spot, Yakunina captured the first point for Duquesne, defeating Talarek 6-1, 6-0 before Rand tallied a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Young at the two spot. At the final singles slot, Lopez-Linares Perez secured the win for Duquesne, capturing a 6-2, 6-2 win over Splett. O'Brien, Badics, and Roka all had their match carded as unfinished.
