Fairfax, Va. – The Duquesne University women's tennis team bounced back on Sunday morning, capturing a 4-1 victory at George Mason during Atlantic 10 action. The Dukes improved to 6-7 overall and 3-1 in league action.
Duquesne took the early point by capturing two of the doubles matches. At second doubles, juniors
Jasa Roka and
Taisia Yakunina captured a 6-4 win over Mary Young and Brooklyn Siegel before freshmen
Denisse Arinez Guilarte and
Sofia Lopez-Linares Perez downed Maya Bayat and Lakshya Motam, 6-3.
The Dukes continued its momentum in singles play, securing three wins to take the match. Senior
Kaya Rand secured a 4-6, 6-0, 6-2 win over Young at the second spot while Roka defeated Maitree Diksha Rout, 6-4, 6-2 at the third slot. Yakunina secured the win for Duquesne, tallying a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Maya Bayat at the fourth slot.

The Dukes return home when it welcomes St. Bonaventure on Saturday, April 5, for an Atlantic 10 match inside the Oxford Athletic Club.
