Pittsburgh, Pa. – Redshirt junior guard
Cam Crawford of the Duquesne University men's basketball team was named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team Tuesday. The program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes on the court and in the classroom and recognizes honorees in four divisions, including NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Crawford, a native of Birmingham, Ala., is a communication studies major for the Dukes and has maintained a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.74. He appeared in 29 games during the 2024-25 season, including 22 starts, and produced averages of 8.6 points and 2.5 rebounds while converting 44.5 percent (89-for-200) of his attempts from the floor.
Among Atlantic 10 leaders in 2024-25, Crawford leads the conference in three-point field goal percentage at 43.1 percent (44-for-102). He also converted 46.5 percent (33-of-71) of his shots from deep against A-10 foes, which paced the circuit.
In his 22 games a member of the starting lineup, Crawford reached double figures in scoring in 15 and overall during the 2024-25 campaign posted 16 double-figure scoring efforts. He scored a season-high 16 points while also tying for team-high honors in rebounds (5) in Duquesne's final home game of the season, an
85-68 win over George Mason (March 1) at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse as part of the Chuck Cooper Classic. Crawford shot 5-for-8 from beyond the arc in the win over the Patriots.
Crawford has appeared in 75 career games at the NCAA Division I level, including 29 starts, with stints at Indiana State (2021-22) and Marshall (2023-24) prior to transferring to Duquesne. His career high in scoring came while with the Thundering Herd as he poured in 23 points off the bench against South Alabama, finishing 10-of-12 from the floor, including 3-for-3 from deep.
