Pittsburgh, Pa. – Redshirt senior guard
Cam Crawford of the Duquesne University men's basketball team was named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team Tuesday. It marks the second consecutive year Crawford has garnered the honor, as the program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes on the court and in the classroom.
Crawford, a native of Birmingham, Ala., graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies while posting a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.67. He is currently working toward a Master of Business Administration at Duquesne in entrepreneurship and has maintained a 3.60 GPA. In 32 games during the 2025-26 season, including 20 starts, Crawford supplied the Dukes with averages of 4.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. He shot 36.8 percent (53-for-144) from the field and also added 31 assists and 17 steals.
Crawford's best game of the year came in a 92-78 victory over Loyola (Md.) (Nov. 19) as part of the non-conference slate for Duquesne, when he poured in a season-high 19 points. In the win over the Greyhounds, Crawford shot 8-for-12 from the field, including 3-for-6 from beyond the arc. It began a stretch in which he scored in double figures in three consecutive games. In Atlantic 10 play, Crawford contributed 16 points in a 74-63 triumph at Fordham (Jan. 17).
In two seasons on the Bluff, Crawford played in 61 games, including 42 starts, averaging 6.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per game while shooting 41.3 percent (142-for-344) from the field, including 38.7 percent (74-for-191) from beyond the arc. He paced the Atlantic 10 in three-point field goal percentage during the 2024-25 campaign, knocking down 43.1 percent (44-for-102) of his shots.
Overall in four years at the NCAA Division I level, including one season at Indiana State (2021-22) and one at Marshall (2023-24), Crawford appeared in 107 career contests, including 49 starts. He concluded with career totals of 657 points and 229 assists.
Led by
Dru Joyce III, in his second season as head coach of the Dukes, Duquesne finished with an overall record of 18-15 (.545) during the 2025-26 campaign, including a 9-9 (.500) mark in the Atlantic 10. The Dukes advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2026 Atlantic 10 Championship in posting their third winning season in the last four years.
