Wexford, Pa. – The Duquesne University men's tennis team hosted Youngstown State on Saturday afternoon, dropping a 7-0 decision at the Oxford Athletic Club. With the loss, the Dukes fall to 2-7 overall.

In doubles competition, the Penguins secured the early point by taking all three matches. At the top spot, juniors Keita Duclos and Alfrendo Vogelaar dropped a 6-3 decision to Will Rassat and Chester Wickwire while freshman Arnau Anton Garcia and Tancredi Alfano lost to Onder Balci and Ethan Dasset, 6-2. At the final doubles, freshman Aril Kayra Tuna and Uvan Patel dropped a 5-4 decision to V. Van Craenenbroeck and Mihai Haita.

YSU kept the momentum in singles play, capturing all six matches. Duclos dropped a 6-3, 6-2 match to Balci at the first slot while Tuna lost to Dasset 6-4, 6-4 at second singles. At the third spot, Anton Garcia was downed by Rassat 6-2, 4-6, 10-6 before Lanna fell to Ceredelli 6-1, 6-4. At the last two singles spots, Alfano was handed a 6-0, 6-2 loss by Haita and freshman Teo Papadopoulos was downed by Craenenbroeck 7-6 (7-4), 6-4.
