Wexford, Pa. – The Duquesne University women's tennis team opened Atlantic 10 play on Friday night, capturing a 5-2 victory over Dayton inside the Oxford Athletic Club. With the win, the Dukes improved to 2-4 overall and 1-0 in conference action.

Sofia Lopez-Linares Perez were tied 3-3 with Montserrat Sierra and Haley Klein until it was carded unfinished.
Duquesne filled the script in singles play, securing victories in the top five spots to take the match. At the number one spot, Badis captured a 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 win over Osiecki before Roka tallied a 6-4, 7-5 victory over Katauskas at the two slot. At third singles, Rand downed Greb 6-2, 6-4 while O'Brien registered a 6-2, 6-4 win over Vlaisavljevic at the number four spot. In the last two singles matches, Yakunina took a dominant 6-1, 6-2 win from Sierra as Lopez-Linares Perez fell to Klein 6-2, 6-4.
