Wexford, Pa. – The Duquesne University women's tennis team continued its five-match homestand, blanking Lafayette 7-0 on Saturday afternoon inside the Oxford Athletic Club. With the win, the Dukes improved to 3-5 overall.

Sofia Serrano captured a 6-3 victory over Ally Bauer and M. Sofia Romaniello.
Duquesne kept its momentum in singles play, securing all six matches. At the number one spot, Badics tallied a 6-2, 6-1 win over Alyssa Perdomo while Rand secured a come from behind victory over Ganchi, 4-6, 6-4, 6-0. At the third singles, Yakunina downed Boeckman, 6-4, 6-2 while freshman
Sofia Lopez-Linares Perez captured a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 win over Alexandra Waldman. In the final two spots, freshman
Denisse Arinez Guilarte secured a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Bauer while Serrano capped the day with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over M. Sofia Romaniello.
