Scouting The Billikens – Saint Louis enters the weekend riding a four-match winning streak, highlighted by three consecutive sweeps. The Billikens hold a 12-10 overall record and a 4-7 mark in Atlantic 10 play after posting back-to-back sweeps against Fordham. Jetta Brenning leads the way, ranking second in the conference with 9.19 assists per set and third with 726 total assists. The freshman was recently named A-10 Rookie of the Week. Offensively, Ellie Rink paces the team with 3.45 kills per set and 3.89 points, while Chloe Maughan anchors the defense with 3.36 digs per set. At the net, Kayla Jansen provides a strong presence, leading SLU with 80 blocks on the season and averaging just under one per frame.
Rhode Island Remains – On Friday, the Dukes opened the fourth set with a 13-8 lead behind four kills from Schrom and three from Helm, but Rhode Island answered with an 8-3 run to even the score at 16. A Jordan kill and a Rhody error forced a timeout, and back-to-back kills from Henschen and Robertson pushed Duquesne ahead 21-17. The Rams closed within 22-20, but Henschen and a Helm–Wilmot block set up match point before Schrom sealed it with a kill. Duquesne tallied 19 kills in the set while holding Rhode Island to a .047 hitting percentage. On Saturday, the Dukes again limited the Rams to under .100 hitting in a straight-set sweep. Leading 8-6 early, Duquesne used a 5-1 run, fueled by kills from Jordan and Henschen and two Wilmot aces, to go up 13-7. After trading points, Rhody cut the gap to 20-16, but a Henschen kill and a Ram error extended the lead. Schrom closed out the match with back-to-back kills for the sweep.
Running The Offense With Precision – Junior setter
Chloe Wilmot continues to climb the Duquesne record book as she directs the Dukes' offense. In the first match against Rhode Island, Wilmot reached a major career milestone, becoming just the eighth player in program history to surpass 2,500 career assists. She achieved the mark in the third set, with Duquesne leading 19-10, when she set up senior
Carsyn Henschen for a kill off a Rams defender to secure the milestone. One of the nation's top setters, Wilmot ranks second in NCAA Division I with 907 assists this season and 12th nationally with 10.55 assists per frame. The Virginia native has recorded 12 double-doubles and nine matches with 40 or more assists this season. She now sits just 93 assists shy of reaching 1,000 for the year, a feat she first accomplished as a freshman. With 2,554 career assists, Wilmot is only 18 away from moving into seventh place on Duquesne's all-time list.
Dominance At The Net – Senior middle blocker
Ariel Helm has been a dominant presence at the net for the Dukes while continuing to leave her mark on the program record book. Entering Saturday's match, she was just one block shy of 400 for her career and wasted no time reaching the milestone. With Duquesne leading 5-2 in the opening set, Helm tallied career block No. 400 on an attack from Erika Bracey. She went on to finish the day with seven kills, a team-leading six blocks, and two digs. Helm became just the third player in program history to surpass 400 career blocks, bringing her total to 405. The Indiana native now sits only seven blocks shy of second place on Duquesne's all-time list, while also ranking second in block assists (325) and tied for seventh in solo blocks (80). This season, she has recorded five or more blocks in six matches and has led the Dukes in blocking 11 times.
Precision & Power – As a team, Duquesne leads the Atlantic 10 in kills per set (13.45) and ranks third in total kills this season. That success is fueled by sophomore

She also sits 13th in NCAA Division I with 406.5 total points and has recorded double-digit kills in 19 matches, including four of the last five. Henschen ranks second on the team with 222 kills, averaging 2.81 per set. Last week, she recorded a career milestone in surpassing 1,000 career kills, now totaling 1,030. The Ohio native has posted 11 double-digit kill performances this season, including four in her last five matches. Over that stretch, she's averaging 4.03 points and 3.76 kills per set, while hitting an impressive .348 percent clip.
