Davidson, N.C. – The Duquesne University men's tennis team capped its three-match road swing on Monday morning, dropping a 4-2 decision at Davidson at the Davidson Tennis Courts. With the fall, the Dukes slip to 5-5 overall this spring, with a 1-2 mark in league action.

In doubles competition, Duquesne recorded a pair of victories at the first and third positions. Seniors Tamirlan Teberikov and Kaipo Marshall blanked Maxwell Kachkarov and Juan Perez 6-0 in the first slot while sophomores Keita Duclos and Alfrendo Vogelaar downed Cahrlie Ratliff and Luca Lovrich , 6-1 to capture the doubles point.

During singles play, the Wildcats captured four wins to take the match on Monday. Marshall's match was registered unfinished at the first slot while Teberikov dropped a 7-6 (4-2), 3-6, 0-6 decision to Perez in the second slot. Duclos came from behind and took down Alejandro Solares 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 at the third spot before Vogelaar dropped a 1-6, 1-6 decision to Kachkarov at the fourth singles. At the final two spots, Vane lost 5-7, 0-6 to Moran while sophomore Chris Cianciotti fell by a 0-6, 2-6 count to Pinzon.

Duquesne returns back to Pittsburgh on Wednesday, March 13, when it welcomes Mercyhurst for a non-conference match at the Alpha Tennis and Fitness of Pittsburgh.
