Buffalo, NY. – The Duquesne University women's tennis team traveled to Buffalo on Friday morning, falling by a 7-0 count at the Miller Tennis Center. With the loss, the Dukes drop to 2-5 overall this spring.

In doubles play, the Bulls secured all three matches to capture the point. Graduate student Daniela Latoni and junior Kaya Rand dropped a 5-7 match to Amber Amat and Esmee Andresen in the first slot. At the second doubles sophomore Jasa Roka and freshman Mila Badics fell by a count of 6-3 to Azra Deniz Comlek and Laura Koralnik before sophomore Taisia Yakunina and senior Ellen Shanahan were defeated by Jagmeet Kaur and Deanne Choo, 6-0 in the final spot.

Buffalo would secure the match victory after sweeping all six singles matches. Latoni dropped a 6-7 (3-7), 5-7 to Denzi Comlek in the first slot before Rand was downed by Kaur, 0-6, 1-6 in the second position. At the third singles, Roka was defeated by Koralnik, 2-6, 0-6 while Badics slipped to Amat 2-6, 1-6 at the five spot. Yakunina fell by a score of 1-6, 2-6 to Esmee Andresen in final singles play.
