PITTSBURGH – The Duquesne University football team finished the regular season ranked No. 25 in the AFCA Coaches Poll, presented by Hudl, and received votes in the Stats Perform Poll.
The Dukes shared the 2024 Northeast Conference (NEC) regular-season title with an 8-3 overall record and a 5-1 mark in conference play. Duquesne lost the head-to-head tiebreaker for the league's automatic bid to the NCAA FCS playoffs at Central Connecticut State, 21-14, in last week's regular-season finale.
Duquesne has now been ranked for four consecutive weeks to close the regular season. The No. 19 ranking in Week 12 marked the highest ever for DU as NEC members. The final 2024 season poll will be released following the FCS national championship in January.
