Pittsburgh, Pa. – Duquesne University football and Michigan State inked an agreement to play at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, Michigan, on Sept. 4, 2027, the universities jointly announced Thursday.

The meeting will mark the first-ever matchup between the programs and Duquesne's first game against a Big Ten opponent in the FBS-FCS era. Kickoff time is to be announced.

Duquesne has won seven NEC championships since 2011 and has made three FCS playoff appearances since 2015. The Dukes have posted 27 winning seasons in 33 years at the FCS level, including 10 in the last 11 seasons.

The matchup with Michigan State will become Duquesne's 16th game against an FBS opponent since 2014. Duquesne is also slated to play James Madison in Harrisonburg, Virginia, on Sept. 11, 2027. The 2027 campaign will mark the seventh consecutive season the Dukes have faced multiple FBS opponents.

The upcoming 2026 schedule will feature two FBS opponents as well — Air Force and Washington State. View the full 2026 schedule here, and season tickets for Duquesne home games are on sale now.
