PITTSBURGH – The Duquesne University football team moved up to No. 21 in the AFCA Coaches, presented by Hudl, and No. 22 in the Stats Perform Poll after a dominating, 31-6 win over Robert Morris to take control of first place in the Northeast Conference standings.
The Dukes (7-2, 4-0 NEC) have won seven games in a row, the longest streak since 2017, and are one of four remaining unbeatens in FCS play this season at 6-0. Duquesne downed then No. 21/20 Youngstown State in Week 3 along with Mercyhurst in addition to the four conference victories. In NEC play, the Dukes are averaging 41.0 points and allowing just 17.0 per game.
The No. 21 ranking is the highest DU has been in the coaches poll as NEC members.
Duquesne hosts Wagner on Saturday for the final home game of the season. Kick off is scheduled for noon at Rooney Field.
