AKRON, Ohio – The Duquesne track and field team competed at the Al Campbell Invite on Friday, collecting nine top-three finishes.
Results
Women's 200m
Alyssa Willis finished second in the women's 200m with a time of 25.11 and
Hannah Seitzinger was right behind her in third with a time of 25.72.
Women's 400m
Amy Allen won the women's 400m and set a new personal-best time of 56.90.
Kaylin Cousin finished two spots behind her in third-place with a time of 58.22.
Mara Whalen came in sixth, finishing in 58.98, which is a new personal-best.
Women's 800m
Olivia Wilson placed fourth in the women's 800m with a time of 2:17.57, which is a new personal-best.
Kathryn Saum's time of 2:21.58, which was good for eighth, is also a new personal-best.
Women's 3000m
Tori Kocsis placed third in the women's 3000m, finishing in 10:14.42.
Claire Belton finished sixth with a time of 10:39.31, which is a new personal-best.
Women's 60m Hurdles
Emily Brozeski came in second-place in the women's 60m hurdles with a time of 8.83.
Jamelah Carswell (fifth, 9.14, new PB),
Halle Walcutt (seventh, 9.59, new PB) and
Anna Baxter (eighth, 9.60) also placed well.
Women's 4x400 Relay
The team of
Amy Allen,
Alyssa Willis,
Faith Mucci and
Hannah Seitzinger won the women's 4x400 relay with a time of 3:48.73, which is a new season-best.
Women's High Jump
Sadie Wetzel was the runner-up in the women's high jump with a mark of 1.60m.
Women's Long Jump
In the women's long jump,
Jamelah Carswell placed first with a leap of 5.62m, which is a personal-best.
Emily Brozeski (third, 5.48m),
Halle Walcutt (fourth, 5.11m),
Teja Brown (fifth, 5.04m) and Capri Decaro (sixth, 4.72m) all finished well.
Women's Weight Throw
Ezra Johnson-Mills placed seventh in the weight throw with a distance of 16.25m.
Men's 200m
David Williams placed fourth in the men's 200m with a time of 21.89.
Matt DeMatteo was behind him in sixth after finishing in 22.43, which is a new personal-best.
Men's 800m
Sam De La Riva set a new personal-best in the men's 800m with a time of 1:55.42.
Jack Barnhisel came in right behind him with his own personal-best of 1:56.53, then
Holden Eagle claimed his own new personal-best in 15
th with a time of 1:56.53.
Men's Mile
Will Lamb came in 12
th in the men's mile with a new personal-best of 4:22.30.
Ben Colli also set a new personal-best, running a 4:25.83, along with
Trevor Carson (4:26.16) and
Nathaniel Woshner (4:27.18).
Men's 3,000m
Ben Hoffman finished seventh in the 3000m with a time of 8:49.71, which is a new personal-best.
