Pittsburgh, Pa. – Six members of the Duquesne women's soccer team earned a spot on the 2023 College Sports Communications Academic (formerly CoSIDA) All-District® Team announced earlier Tuesday afternoon.
The CSC Academic All-District® Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
A total of four sophomores, one junior, and one graduate student lead the list for Duquesne. An applied mathematics major, sophomore midfielder
Libby Majka boosts a 3.97 cumulative GPA while sophomores
Lindsay Krafchick and
Mackenzie Muir are both physical therapy majors. Krafchick is a defender who recorded a 3.96 cumulative GPA while Muir, a midfielder, registered a 3.72.
Sophomore forward
Morgan Kulniszewski has maintained a 3.86 GPA while studying business and law while grad transfer
Anna Campanella, who enrolled in the MS leadership program at Duquesne, posted a 3.85 GPA in earning a bachelor of science degree in health administration from Boise State. Rounding out the six is junior defender
Karley Steinher, who has maintained a 3.54 cumulative GPA while as a nursing major.
The six Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in December.
Krafchick, Muir, Steinher, Majka, Kulniszewski, and Campanella all earned the award for the first time in their careers while being the 7
th through 12
th players in program history to earn Academic All-District® honors. The 12 have combined to be named a total of 15 times in program history
