Women's Cross Country Racks Up PR's at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Duquesne University women's cross country team had four of its five scorers record personal bests at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Friday afternoon.

Haley Hamilton led the team with a PR of 20:58.0, edging out two other runners within a second to claim a top-40 spot out of 196 runners. Hamilton topped her previous PR by more than 30 seconds.

Ryley Schwalm followed with a 21:27.0, also beating her personal-best set earlier this season by more than 30 seconds. Liv Wilson shaved more than 40 seconds off her PR with a 21:39.7. Addy Ciecierski also turned in a new personal best crossing the line in 22:08.6. Brooke Krally rounded out the scorers with a 22:10.8.

The Dukes took 17th place in the race posting scorers at 38, 67, 85, 117, and 122 in the 6k race. Georgetown won the team title, while Villanova's Sadie Sigfstead posted a 19:35.5 in first place, edging out the runner-up by a tenth of a second.
